Lip Removal

Manorstone® comes with a one-inch lip on the bottom to allow the block to tier as it stacks.  For our purposes we must remover this lip.  Full blocks can be stacked around unit. With a hammer and chisel (wear eye protection) just tap at the tip of it and it will easily fall off.

Splitting blocks (optional)

To achieve an appealing look when laying stone, it is necessary to stagger your material.  In this application, you will need to split some of your ManorstoneÒ.  Draw a line all the way around the block.  Set the block on a hard surface.  With a hammer and chisel, firmly tap along the line just hard enough to score the concrete.  Repeat until the block separates.   Clean edges with a chisel.
